Behaviour and affective neuroscience

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (2009),  a Master's degree in Psychobiology – Human Behavior – from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil (2012) and a PhD on Neurosciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2016). My main research topic encompasses behavioral and neurobiological aspects of human social behavior, more specifically prosocial behavior, group belongingness and affiliative emotions.

I use both qualitative and quantitative methods, from text-analysis and psychometrics to physiological signals analysis to currently understand the neurobiological basis of the human need to belong and how can we harness this characteristic to generate positive outcomes.
