Brain function and metabolism in altruistic decisions

This is a multidisciplinary project that combines approaches of cognitive neuroscience, economics and social neuroscience. We want to investigate whether OFC and DLPFC are brain regions causally involved in charity donation. And also elucidate the degree to which monetary value of charitable donations can be modulated in healthy participants using transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and its mechanism. To this aim we are going to analyze DWI, functional Resting State and GABA Spectroscopy data acquired before and after 5 days of tDCS stimulation.
